Yes, sometimes the electronic version of the FAA’s test supplement can be too hard, too blurry, or too small to see on your screen.
You have a couple of options. You can download the test supplement and have it printed at a local print shop such as Kinkos, Office Depot, etc.
You can also purchase the test supplement here for about $15 including shipping.
And for what it’s worth, during your in-person FAA exam, the test proctor will give you a printed color copy of the test supplement. Many times, the lighting in the room is poor, or the test center is using an older version of the supplement, where the images are a little blurry.
Please consider bringing a magnifying glass and/or small flashlight into the test center just in case!
