Does it matter what state or location I take my FAA exam in? What if I live somewhere else or took my initial test at another location?

Unlike a state-issued driver’s license, it doesn’t matter what state or location you choose when sitting for your FAA exam.

However, if you change your address, you need to notify the FAA and change your address within their IACRA system within 30 days of your relocation.
